Congratulations to all of the winners of the CPRE

The Northamptonshire CPRE 'Buy Local' Food Awards 2009 which James helped to judge were held at the beautiful Boughton House, home of the Duke of Buccleuch.

These awards recognised and celebrated producers and businesses in Northamptonshire that offer top quality local foods which are produced and sold within the county.

The award took place in the Great Hall where all the guests we were lucky enough to be given a talk on the history of Boughton Hall .

The 4 winners were:

Elliots Butchers of Towcester, Kislingbury and Daventry / Farrington Oils Limited of Hargrave, Wellingborough / Newlands Dairy, Hardwick owned by Gerald Bailey / Smiths Farm Shop, Boughton

Congratulations to everybody who was nominated.  To have been nominated is proof enough that local people enjoy and appreciate your products.  Keep up the good work and here's to a busy Christmas and productive 2010.
